“Aging doesn’t have to be sad, depressing or scary. I know, because I’ve worked with older folks for more than 30 years, and my passion for helping them and their adult children has improved the quality of life for entire families. I hope I can help you and your parents to transition through the challenges of aging, while freeing up your time to do what you do best: love your parents.”

A native Chicagoan, I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2011 with my Master of Social Work, along with a specialization in healthcare and a certificate in working with older adults. I also earned my B.S. in criminal justice at Loyola. I joined Age @ Home Elder Care Management to ensure that older adults in San Diego age successfully, and to assist families in providing the best care possible for their older relatives. I am also the Member Services Coordinator for the Scripps Ranch Elder Care Alliance. My previous experience includes working with older adults at a community mental health agency and working with adult patients (many of whom were seniors!) at an outpatient oncology clinic.
“While aging certainly can be challenging, it can also be beautiful. My goal (and also my passion!) is to turn aging into a positive process by empowering seniors (and their families) to discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and establish a sense of serenity to truly enjoy the ‘golden years’.”

I am originally from St. Louis, MO and went to college at the University of Iowa. At Iowa’s College of Pharmacy, I developed an interest in the special medication needs of seniors. I graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2008 and went to work as a pharmacist for Target in Chicago. In 2009, I married and with my husband Tim moved to San Diego.
“As a pharmacist, I really enjoy reviewing patients’ medications, answering their questions, and making sure they are comfortable with their drug therapy plan. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to work for the clients of Age @ Home to assist with their medication management.”
